Audio Visual Engineer - Mid Level

Job Type: Full Time Duties / Responsibilities:
Experience in the design & engineering of large scale audiovisual systems including:
- Command and Control Centers
- Large Scale Video Walls
- Video teleconferencing, to include external crypto devices for secure communications and multipoint control units.
- Security/ Force protection systems.
- Conference rooms
- Auditoriums
- Training class rooms and multimedia facilities.
- Lead efforts on Broadcast and Audiovisual Projects or major Project subsystems.
Responsible for creating:
- Equipment lists
- Floor plans
- Rack and console elevations
- Conceptual and detailed audio, video, networking and control diagrams; patch panel and custom I/O panel layouts for large-scale technical systems.
- Test plans and testing systems for test and acceptance for customer sign off.
- Coordinating with the technical services, implementation and inventory control department for proper scheduling & integration of designed systems.
- Technical solutions and conceptual engineering, working with customers, designs that fulfill the schedule & budget requirements
Education:
Associate degree in a technical field with 3-7 years experience designing & engineering audiovisual systems.
The ability to obtain and retain a Government-granted security clearance through ITI will be a condition of employment.
Designing large-scale integration systems using AutoCAD or VidCAD,
A/V equipment installation and testing of large scale A/V Systems.
MS Office. MS Projects. experience a plus.
Write effective proposals and make customer presentations..
Knowledge of AMX control systems desirable.
Working experience in Government environment is desirable.
