Title: A/V and Broadcast Installation Tech, Level IV

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be working closely with Implementation and Engineering personnel to assist in the development of manpower estimates, work assignments and project time lines.
• This is a supervisory position.

Requirements:

• Work requirements include cutting, terminating and identifying various types of audio, video and data cables.
• Installation of cables in equipment racks, closets and cable management systems.
• The successful candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of communications installation techniques.
• Experience in cable fabrication and installation for broadcast and A/V systems is required.
• Some experience in a supervisory/leadership position is required. Knowledge of broadcast and A/V systems operations and integration is required.
• A basic understanding of various audio and video formats and standards is necessary.
• Familiarity with AMX and Crestron control systems is a plus.
• The candidate should be experienced in the use of broadcast and A/V test equipment and be familiar with standard test procedures.
• The candidate should possess good communication skills and be a strong team player.
• Must be able to climb ladders, lift up to 80 lbs., and be able to operate the necessary hand tools and vehicles as required.
• PC experience using WIndow '95, '98, 2000, or NT is considered necessary.
• The candidate should be familiar with industry standard cable terminations, installation and fabrication techniques.
• The candidate should be capable of reading, interpreting and implementing schematic drawings for the purpose of installing broadcast television/radio and high-end A/V systems under the direction of a Project Engineer.
• Must be knowledgeable of component setups, system signal flow, and possess troubleshooting skills.

Education: An A.S. in Electronic Technologies or a related field. Equivalent military training is acceptable and preferred.
