Innovative Technologies, Inc. (ITI) seeks an
Accounting Manager to supervise corporate accounting
functions, and to coordinate the preparation
of financial reports and analysis for the company.
Under the general supervision of the Director
of Accounting & Finance, the Accounting
Manager will provide project and managerial
accounting support to program managers, including
project and indirect rate analysis and reporting
to maximize profitability. The applicant must
have a strong understanding of the financial
applications of the FAR to oversee the daily
accounting functions of a Federal Government
Contractor. Duties
/ Responsibilities:
• Supervise
day-to-day accounting operations, including
GL, AP, AR and payroll; and provide hands-on
support during periods of peak activity and
staff vacations.
• Coordinate
the month end closing process. Prepare
journal entries.
• Assist
Director in the preparation of yearly budgets
and indirect rate projections.
• Implement
departmental policies and operating
procedures. Ensure procedures and accounting
activities are in compliance with government
contracting regulations.
• Provide
support related to annual financial
audits, preparation of Provisional Rate
and Incurred Cost Submissions to DCAA,
and auditor inquiries.
• Coordinate
changes and improvements in automated
financial and management information
systems for the company. (Deltek)
• Provide
project support and analysis to program
managers, to include:

In
coordination with ITI Contracts Specialist,
track projects from proposal to completion
for labor, material, travel, and other
costs.

Assist
in development of cost proposals and
validate sales quotations for accuracy
and profitability.

Assist
program managers in development and analysis
of project budgets.

In
coordination with project managers, prepare
projections of revenue and expenses for
projects based on numerous variables
and data assumptions.

Ensure
the proper accounting
treatment for Time and Materials
(T&M),
Cost Plus Fixed Fee
(CPFF), and Firm Fixed
Price (FFP) government contracts.
REQUIRED
SKILLS:
• B.S. in Accounting/Finance, or Business
with a strong focus on accounting.
• 6
years of progressively responsible accounting
experience in a government contracting
environment. Supervisory experience and/or
CPA is preferred.
• Working
knowledge of GAAP, FAR/DFAR, SBA, GSA,
and Service Contract Act.
• Strong
knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and
Impromptu or DPM a must.
• Strong
computer skills including Microsoft
Office applications such as Excel, Word, & Power
Point.
• Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze financial
data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Must be able to effectively
present financial information
and analysis to management
and communicate with auditors.
• Excellent
math skills and strong attention
to detail are required to
be successful in this position.
