Innovative Technologies, Inc. seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee corporate accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, and Payroll, and to coordinate the preparation of financial reports and analysis for the company.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Supervise Accounting staff
- Oversee preparation of reports. Summarize and forecast company’s business activity and financial position in areas of revenue, expenses, and margins based on past, present and expected operations.
- Coordinate the entire month end closing process: Revenue Calculation, journal entries, indirect rate calculations.
- Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint areas for improvement. Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
- Direct the development and preparation of long and short term financial goals. Prepare yearly budgets and develop indirect rate projections.
- Establish and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. Ensure procedures and accounting activities are in compliance with government contracting regulations.
- Work with outside accounting firm to coordinate annual financial audits, submissions and inquiries, as well as corporate tax returns.
- Prepare Provisional Rate and Incurred Cost Submissions to DCAA. Interact with DCAA auditors and respond to inquiries to ensure successful audits.
- Coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company. (Deltek)
Education / Qualifications:
- B.S. in Accounting/Finance, or Business with a strong focus on accounting.
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a government contracting environment.
- Proven supervisory or management experience. CPA is a plus.
- Working knowledge of GAAP, FAR, SBA regulations, Service Contract Act.
- Strong knowledge/administrator skills in Deltek Costpoint and Impromptu a must. Familiarity with QuickBooks a plus.
- Strong skills in computers and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, & Power Point.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Must be able to effectively present financial information and analysis to management.
