FINANCIAL ANALYST / PRICING ANALYST
Federal
Government Contractor seeks a hands-on Financial
Analyst / Pricing Analyst with strong financial
analysis experience to provide project and
managerial accounting support to program managers
and corporate management, including cost proposal
development, project budget creation and analysis,
and indirect rate forecasting and analysis.
The applicant must have a strong understanding
of the financial applications of the FAR and
be highly skilled in Excel.
JOB
DESCRIPTION: •
Prepare cost proposals and pricing volumes in
response to government and commercial solicitations.
• Coordinate proposal
development with the sales team and management.
• Prepare multi-year cost/pricing models
to include labor, materials, subcontracts,
and travel and write descriptive pricing volumes.
• Ensure compliance with government
contracting regulations.
• Requires an understanding of indirect
cost pools, forward pricing projections, bid
multiplier rate analysis, etc.
• Monitor and update commercial price
lists and GSA pricelists as needed.
•
Provide project support and analysis
to program managers, to include:
• Validate sales quotations for accuracy
and profitability.
• Assist program managers in development
and analysis of project budgets.
• Monitor contract value, funding needs,
and change orders in coordination with contract
specialist and adjust budgets accordingly.
• In coordination with project managers,
prepare projections of revenue and expenses
for projects based on numerous variables and
data assumptions.
• Provide financial analysis support to
management, to include:
• Analysis of corporate budget vs. actual
expenses
• Create rolling financial statement
and indirect rate forecasts based on the latest
contract revenue and expense projections and
budget assumptions.
• Independently develop new Excel models,
charts and graphs, and procedures as necessary.
REQUIRED
SKILLS:
• B.S. in Accounting/Finance, or Business
with a focus on accounting/finance.
• 4-6 years of progressively responsible
financial analysis and pricing experience
in a government contracting environment.
• Experience in development of Federal
government cost proposals.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR, SBA,
GSA, and Service Contract Act.
• Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint
and Impromptu or DPM.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft
Office applications such as Excel, Word, &
Power Point.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills. Ability to analyze financial data
and prepare financial reports and projections.
Must be able to effectively present financial
information and analysis to management.
• Excellent math skills and strong attention
to detail are required to be successful in
this position.
