Duties / Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Engineer shall have demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding and competence in the repair, maintenance and operation of, but not limited to, production switchers, BetaCam and DVC Pro format tape machines, editors, digital video effects devices, keyers, character generators, cameras, audio consoles, analog and digital tape machines, compact disc machines, equalizers, computer controlled digital effects, wireless microphone systems, telephone hybrids, intercoms, and lighting. Hands on experience working on Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro non linear editing systems, Leitch Broadcast Servers and Sundance Automation.
The Maintenance Engineer should also have experience in database management for use in management of spare parts and equipment tracking.
Education / Qualifications:
The Maintenance Engineer is required to possess the minimum qualifications of an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related area of study, or he/she must posses five years working as a broadcast/maintenance engineer in a broadcast or production facility or appropriate program(s) or has other commensurate demonstrable experience. Experience with Standard Digital and High-Definition Television equipment is required. This candidate should be comfortable working in an IT dominant environment and must work well in a dynamic production environment.
