ITI engineered and designed a functional operational master control room for Maryland Public Television station in Owings Mills, Maryland. The master control room consisted of a 5-channel system that incorporated a server-based record/play system with digital tape archive and a Phillips128X128 digital video/audio routing system that routed 270/360 Mb/s video and AES-3 signals. The router can be upgraded to High Definition (HD) signals (SMPTE 2920). All signals in the master control room complied with industry standard SMPTE 259 for serial digital component video, AES-3 audio and SMPTE 292 HD 1.5Gb signals. The master control room subsystems includes Harris Louth automation system that controlled the Philips router, playback tape decks, Pinnacle servers and an archive system consisting of an interface to and control of an Avalon/SGI and Ampex DST-712 Library. The project was completed within budget and schedule. a

The Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) was established in 1990 to oversee all programming broadcast to Cuba on the Voice of America's Radio and TV Marti. Radio Marti operates a 24/7radio facility in Miami Florida. ITI was awrded a contract to upgrade all of Radio Marti’s technical facilities, including both air studios, production studio, nine edit suites, and the technical plant. All the work was completed while the station was on the air.

The project began with a careful design that allowed the facility to continue functioning during the construction phase. The areas upgraded first were the edit suites with each of the nine-edit suites gutted. The millwork was modified to accept the new hybrid analog/digital audio consoles and all cabling was replaced with digital compliant 110-ohm cable. Separate analog and digital patch panels were added along with minidisk, cassette, and digital audio workstations. The next areas requiring upgrade were the radio studio and associated control room. The studio was a total rebuild consisitng of all new carpeting, wall coverings, millwork and equipment. A  256 x 256 hybrid analog/digital audio router, intercom, and mix minus matrix was also added to the upgrade.
